Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station, one of Asia’s largest railway transportation complexes, began operation on Tuesday, with the first train departing in the morning for Shantou, in eastern Guangdong province.
The station serves as the departure and destination for multiple train lines, including the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou Railway, and Guangzhou-Maoming Railway, helping further enhance the passenger capacity of the railway service in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province.
